Getting a Marriage License in Taney County
You need an appointment to apply for a marriage license in Taney County. Both people must come in person to the Recorder's office in Forsyth. Call (417) 546-7234 or email MarriageLicenses@taneycountymo.gov to schedule. Bring valid photo ID and your Social Security number. If you were married before, know when that marriage ended.
The license fee is $60 cash only. No checks, no cards. The $60 includes one certified copy of the marriage certificate. Missouri has no blood test and no waiting period, so you leave with the license the same day you apply. Under RSMo 451.090, the license stays valid for 30 days and works anywhere in Missouri.
